Animal lover? Get comfy!

Here at Happy Eco, our products are all from small and micro UK businesses, all with a strong eco-ness about them.  Today we shine a spotlight on Bare Kind who are a sustainable, animal-saving, bamboo sock business.  A portion of their profits goes towards charities helping to save the animals on their socks!

Critically endangered

There are many animals around the world that are under threat.  These animals get classified into subsets, ranging from Concern and Vulnerable up to Critically Endangered.  These are the animals highest on that list:

Tigers
Rhinos (4 out of 5 species are Critically Endangered, the 5th is close to that)
Pangolins
Elephants
Orangutans
Gorillas

How we can help

Reduce daily carbon footprints - this can be achieved by recycling more, using public transport when possible, and choosing local shops over large online corporations.

Avoid products linked to habitat destruction - check labels and look for trusted third-party sustainability certifications such as FSC, MSC, Rainforest Alliance and RSPO.

Directly support accredited wildlife conservation charities - this is arguably the easiest way to help, either through donations, "adopting" animals or volunteering.
