What's so special about Little Shop of Makers?

We probably look like any other online eco-shop but we're different because we only sell products from UK companies.  We believe in supporting small UK businesses, which in turn reduces the eco impact of the products you need to use every day. 

But "UK companies" doesn't mean "UK made", or does it?

For a lot of companies, that's true.  We prioritise items made in the UK as well, and the only exceptions are when the eco benefit of a product made abroad outweighs a UK alternative (bamboo toilet roll, I'm looking at you), or the ability to manufacture a product here isn't available yet (like coffee).  All the companies you find at LSM are UK companies, and 98% of the products are made here too.

Shipping

Is your packaging plastic free?

For the products that are shipped by us, we use plastic free tape and reuse packaging wherever possible.  This means that your order may well arrive in a box that has previously been sealed with plastic tape, but we strongly believe that reusing packaging is better for the environment than brand new boxes each time.  When we do use new packaging, it is plastic free and fully recyclable.

Some of our products are shipped directly from the supplier, and we can't guarantee that their packaging is plastic free, but we do know that they all value sustainability and good eco-friendly practices as much as we do.

Do you ship outside of the UK?

To keep our carbon footprint as small as possible, we only ship within the UK.

How long will it take for my order to arrive?

We ship everything using Royal Mail 48hr tracked so we can both know when your order has shipped and when delivery is expected.  We allow up to 3 working days for us to process and ship your order, so you should have your order within 5 days of ordering.  Generally we're faster than that but we'd rather surprise you with an early delivery than disappoint you with a late one.    

Orders and Returns

What is your return policy?

All orders can be returned to us in their original condition within 30 days of you receiving your order.  To request a return, please email us at littleshopofmakers@outlook.com.  You can read our full returns policy here.

Can I change or cancel my order?

We can only cancel orders, not change them, so if something isn't right, please email us at littleshopofmakers@outlook.com as soon as possible.  If we've not yet processed your order, we can cancel it for you.  You can then go back on the website and complete a new order for the correct items.  

What if items in my order are damaged?

Please email us as soon as possible with details of the damage, along with photos and videos.  Once we have these, we can work on rectifying the situation.
